Just another day @ work

Just a second ago I was looking at this screen thinking what to write in my blog today. Without realizing it, it is already almost the end of the day for today. Look at how time flies..so fast!I've just had 2 meetings today and I feel like my brain is all washed up by it. Meetings after meetings after meetings. There's so many things to do but yet it is easier said than done. Ramadan is coming, after that comes Raya then comes the Big Day. Oh gosh, not long before I become someone else's property. Being a girl, lady and a woman..we will always be under someone's custody. After being under Mohd Azahar&Roslina's custody for 25 years, nurtured&tortured with love, the time has come for them to transfer the custody to my soon-to-be hubby. Sounds like a burden huh! I remember my dad told me once, "Taking care of my one and only daughter is worse than having to take care of 10 cows!". Well, I have to agree with him. It was one hell of a time for him to raise me, to make me become to who I am today. Despite of enjoying having power as a husband, you now not only have to take care of yourself but also another person i.e your wifey. Like what Spiderman said, WITH GREAT POWER COMES GREAT RESPONSIBILITY!

Workin' Woman I Am

Hola peeps! So many things happened in this few months back that I just don't have the time to update my blog. Only after Faha kept on pestering me I decided to give myself 10mins off to write something in my blog. There's so many things to tell at a time but yet lil time that I have to spend on my blog. FYI, I'm currently working at the Insolvency Department as Assistant of Director of Insolvency. So I'm officially a career woman. Yikes! That sounds stressful. Honestly I kinda miss my student life. I miss meeting frens especially during honours prog. We will be having all sorts of fun, tears, laughter in a day. Well life has to go on and here we are going on our separate ways. Most of us are in the AG'S Chambers being Puans & Tuans, while the rest of us are doing chambering in legal firms all around Malaysia. I hope for the best for all of us.

Since my wedding is coming up very very soon (at least that's what I think), so many people come up to me and ask the FAQ: How's your wedding prep?
The answer would be I'm still struggling to finalise every little details. So far it's going as planned. Alhamdullillah I have a lot of helpful people around me to help me organize my Big Day. I'm excited, nervous, sometimes I even break into tears hoping, praying that everything will go smooth sailing on the day. Until next time..

Is he THE ONE?

How do you know that he's the one?

When you still feel 'butterfly-in-your-stomach' before seeing him
When you still wanna look pretty in front of him even after 7 years together
When you still spare some time for him even for 5mins no matter how busy you are
When there is still stories to tell everytime you meet and if he doesn't have one, he will have to create one or it might just lead to a small fight..
When you still feel that he's hot in every way..well, even hotter than Brad Pitt!
When he's the last person on your mind before you close your eyes
When he's the first person you wanna talk to when your tear drops
When he still ask you out on a date even for a dinner at mamak
When you know he hates horror movie but still follows you since it's your fav kinda movie
When there is always a soft spot for him in your heart even if he misbehave,
When you tell yourself that you're willing to go through all the obstacles with him, no matter what happens.

When he knows your dos and don'ts
When he knows how to use the right kinda tone plus touch to smoothen you when you're stiff
When he knows what you're thinking by only looking at your face
When he tries to avoid an argument when you're about to start one
When he accepts all the blame in a fight during your menstruation period
When he knows where to sit; beside or next to you without you telling him
When he makes you feel good when you're down even if it has to result to white lies
When he accepts the good side of yours and amend the bad side
When he looks at all other chix but at the end of the day will tell you that you're still the PrEttiEst of all!

It takes two to tango!

FAQ: How was the INTERVIEW?

It went well. It was a long day for all of us coz we had to wait for 2 hours for our turn to be interviewed. The Attorney General, Tan Sri Gani Patail together with other Head of Division in AG's Chambers interviewed us but Tan Sri did most of the talking and questioning. We heard so many scary-mary stories about being interviewed by Tan Sri. One thing for sure, you must be ready with a right, precise and exact answer. After being interviewed, I would say that it's not that terrifying as I thought it would be. He was not stiff, rigid. He was like in a good mood. Nevertheless, that didn't stop us from being cuak just minutes before entering the meeting room. I would like to share some funny conversation that I could recall during the interview with the AG. Please note, it might not be the same exact sentence ya but the gist is there.

Tan Sri: So, what does your father do?
Interviewee: He’s a farmer Tan Sri. He rears goats and cows.
Tan Sri: Oh, you mean cattles?
Interviewee: Yes, Tan Sri.
Tan Sri: So, how many goats does he have other than you?
Interviewee: 1000 goats Tan Sri.
************************************************
Tan Sri: So do you know how to rear goats?
Interviewee: Yes, I always help my father at the farm during the semester break.
Tan Sri: If I were to send you far from your farm, is it okay for you to be separated with your goats?
Interviewee: It’s okay, I can still go back during the weekends.
************************************************
Tan Sri: So, what work did you do previously?
Interviewee: I was a salesman for developer.
Tan Sri: How much was your salary?
Interviewee: Taking in around $3500
Tan Sri: Well, do you know that if you join as L41 you will be getting only $2900
Interviewee: It’s okay. My wife is working.
**************************************************
Tan Sri: I think you got your facts wrong.
Interviewee: I’m sorry Tan Sri. I’m here to be corrected.
Tan Sri: That’s why you should not answer if you do not know.
Interviewee: I’m sorry Tan Sri. People make mistakes.
Tan Sri: So if I take you as DPP you will make mistakes and mistakes and mistakes until you retire. Is that okay?
Interviewee: Yes, it’s okay Tan Sri.
****************************************************
Tan Sri: What do you intend to do?
Interviewee: I want to be a Public Prosecutor Tan Sri.
Tan Sri: Ok, then you will have to wait until I retire.
Interviewee: Sorry, I want to be a Prosecuting Officer.
Tan Sri: What? Then you should have become a police officer.
*********************************************************
Tan Sri: If I were to send you to Middle Rock, would you go?
Interviewee: Yes Tan Sri, I would.
Tan Sri: Do you know where Middle Rock is? Its the two rocks beside Pulau Batu Puteh. You cannot even erect a building! You should have answered I cannot work there because there is no office at Middle Rock.
Interviewee: I will go wherever you send me Tan Sri.
**************************************************************
Tan Sri: What do you want to be?
Interviewee: I want to be a DPP. I ‘m very good in Criminal Trial&Advocacy.
Tan Sri: What did yo get for the subject?
Interviewee: A-
Tan Sri: That’s not that good isn’t it?
Interviewee: Yes, I believe so Tan Sri. But I will do whatever it takes to be a DPP Tan Sri
Tan Sri: Now you’re scaring me!

The Continuation..

What makes a good friend? Let’s make a list:

# Anyone who is not judgmental but will tell you the truth about you and your actions.

# Someone who does not compete with you unfairly.

# Anyone who is thrilled when things go brilliantly for you.

# A person who cheers you up when things look down.

# Someone who defends you bravely when people are vicious.

# Someone who is there to boost your morale and motivate you when you have failed.

# Anyone who will laugh with you, cry with you, and act silly, when the situation requires it.

# Someone who befriends you irrespective of who you are or where you come from.

Good and lasting friendships are always a blessing. Some friendships formed at school last a lifetime. Some people have friends but as they grow older, they change, their interests change and they move on and make other friends. Some friendships formed during your uni life or towards the end of your uni life and you find it it as good as the other friendships. This is because friendships cannot be measured from the duration but the quality of the friendship.

People say that when you grow older, like-minded people come into your life and friends who envied your success will move away. It is also a fact that you will eventually outgrow some of your friends.

Real friendship is like this. Time is of no essence. You can meet after four decades and it makes no difference to the joy and comradeship that you feel. The only issue would be trying to catch up with details about what you’ve been doing with your lives.

There is a pattern to every friendship: we hope that it will endure over time and distance, mistakes and misunderstandings.

What really is a TRUE FRIEND? As cliche as it may sound, we can never run away from a friendship. We may have thousands of friends in this world but who really are your true friends.

“Friends in your life are like pillars on your porch. Sometimes they hold you up, and sometimes they lean on you. Sometimes it’s just enough to know that they are standing by.” – Anonymous

The answer everyone is looking for depends on their experiences in life in going through a friendship. To me it is..the people who stand by you, cheer you up when everything goes down. I have had 25 years of experience being in and out of a friendship. I may not have the best skills in PR, I may not have the most good friends in the world but I know bits about friendship. Let me share that bits of thoughts of mine with you. There are many types of friends in this world you can get. Friends who are opportunist; who comes and say hello to you when you're fun to be with and say bye when you're in deep shit. Friends who are happy to stick a dagger at your back. Friend who envy and does not acknowledge your success. Friends that will make friends with people of his kind. Friends who will stick with you in good and bad times. Friends who will never let you down. Friends who will stand by you when the whole world is against you. So what type of friend are you? Think about it ya. To be continued..

Isetan Sale! 24th May onwards..

Peeps! Isetan KLCC is having a SALE! Pls do go, as there are some good offers. Me and my mama went for the members pre-sale day yesterday, it was like hurricane in the store. Ramai gile orang ok. It’s like the stuffs are sold at RM1! They must have waited for the Isetan Sale for a long time enough for them to kumpul duit. Surprisingly, there was no item that caught my eyes. Maybe because my presence over there was not to shop (hey, did I really mean that? Yeah!) It was merely to accompany my mom who wants to buy her Estee Lauder cosmetics. While waiting for my mom to decide on which product she wants to buy (I thought she already have something in mind!) I decided to check out Dior handbags for my hantaran. The salesgirl was so nice she let me try all the handbags. Hehe. Honestly speaking, there was no one handbag that I like. Besides all the handbags are in big sizes, I need something that is small so can fit the dulang hantaran. Talking about handbag, the other day I went to LV boutique. There were so many Chinese, I assume they are all tourists. They were buying LV handbags as if there is Sale! Berebut-rebut ok. I was like, “Are you kidding me?!” I’m here trying to buy for the hantaran and here they are buying the handbags like beli roti. Huhu. Due to so many people in the boutique, even the boutique representative didn’t bother to entertain me. I got fed up waiting so I just walked out. I intend to go back to LV, to check out Helms hantaran but I’ll first make sure that the boutique is not full with people. One thing that I notice is that, the LV boutique reps are mostly good looking Malay men while the Gucci boutique reps are mostly Chinese men+ladies.

Anyway, back to the main story I just bought myself a dress at Isetan. We went to the supermarket, ya ampun ramai gile orang! Then my mama saw so many people buying this Japanese cracker oat (the best way to promote a product = everyone have it in their trolley!), she wanted to buy it and I said No! The queue was so damn long. She insisted on buying it so I didn’t want to make a big fuss out of it, just queue la Dini...We were so hungry as we didn’t have our lunch yet so I suggested to my mama that we should try The Apartment’s food. The ambience was really like being at home since the motto is ‘Let us take you home’. The service was lousy. Can you believe it they did not take our order, we waited for so long. “There was a miscommunication”, that was what they said. I was already hungry and grumpy and that really pissed me off. So we complained to the manager. We didn’t bother to order the second time as my mama had another plan so we just had a drink over there. But I must say the freshly squeezed mango juice was nice so maybe I’ll just come back next time for their mango juice!

Hello!

Hello everyone! The main reason I created this blog is to share my thoughts with y'all. For some of you who don't know me, let me tell you one thing about me. I think a lot. Seriously. Well, not that I'm a weirdo but I just like to think, to arrange and plan my stuffs i.e outings, parties, dating. So since I'm getting married this October, (yeay! can't wait) I need your ideas and comments towards preparing the biggest day of my life (as cliche as it may sound, it is True!) As i love party planning (hopefully, I can become the next David Tutera) it is not as easy as planning a party. Preparing for a wedding is a tedious work. I do not intend to hire a wedding planner as I myself would like to plan my own wedding. They call this as ' Self-satisfaction'. So you gotta help me out aight. May the force be with me!
